The piece

A sleeveless shirt crafted from embossed jacquard: the fabric features raised geometric and floral patterns, as well as vertical lines that appear and disappear depending on how the light hits it. The gunmetal gray adds depth without being garish; the embossing creates a subtle texture that reveals itself up close.

  A fabric where the motif is neither printed nor embroidered: it is woven into the cloth itself, in relief, thread by thread. The pattern isn’t on the fabric, the pattern is the fabric. An old, demanding technique that gives depth and a play of light no print can match.
