The piece
A cropped jacket where two noble materials meet: a sheep-leather body and cashmere sleeves. The raw leather edge is left exposed along the sides, unfinished, like a signature of the craft. High collar, denim details and visible seams.
Materiality
Cuerpo · Sheepskin leather
A fine-grained, lightweight hide that is very flexible: it drapes rather than standing on its own, which is what allows it to be used in a sleeve without making the garment stiff. Worked on the flesh side, the surface turns velvety, matte and warm to the touch, with the veining and tonal variations proper to each hide. This is not a flaw: it is proof that each piece comes from a different animal and that no two sleeves are exactly alike.
Mangas · Cashmere
The fine fiber from the undercoat of the cashmere goat, gathered in only small amounts each year. Hence its rarity and its value. Light as a feather yet warm beyond its weight, with an unmistakable, almost creamy hand. A quiet luxury.
