Cashmere and Leather Jacket with Turtleneck Collar

The piece

Two materials that rarely share a garment: the body in cashmere, the sleeves in sheep leather. The collar rises to the jaw and folds back over the shoulders when you want it to, turning the cashmere outward. The silhouette is generous, with a dropped shoulder and a length that stops at the hip. Everything else is hidden: the outer pockets live inside the seam, and the inside is finished with leather binding, the way you finish what no one is going to see.

  The finest down of the cashmere goat, gathered in only small amounts each year. Hence its rarity and its value. Light as a feather yet warm beyond its weight, with an unmistakable, almost creamy hand. The quietest luxury there is.

  Una piel de grano fino y peso liviano, mucho más flexible que el cuero vacuno: cae en lugar de sostenerse sola, que es lo que permite usarla en una manga sin que la prenda se vuelva rígida. Trabajada del lado del descarne, la superficie queda aterciopelada, mate y cálida al tacto, con las vetas y variaciones de tono propias de cada piel. No es un defecto: es la prueba de que cada pieza viene de un animal distinto y de que ninguna manga es exactamente igual a otra.
