Cashmere and Leather Jacket with Turtleneck Collar

The piece

Two materials that rarely share a garment: the body in cashmere, the sleeves in sheep leather. The collar rises to the jaw and folds back over the shoulders when you want it to, turning the cashmere outward. The silhouette is generous, with a dropped shoulder and a length that stops at the hip. Everything else is hidden: the outer pockets live inside the seam, and the inside is finished with leather binding, the way you finish what no one is going to see.

Materiality

  The fine fiber from the undercoat of the cashmere goat, gathered in only small amounts each year. Hence its rarity and its value. Light as a feather yet warm beyond its weight, with an unmistakable, almost creamy hand. A quiet luxury.

• Mangas y cuello · Sheepskin leather

  A fine-grained, lightweight hide that is very flexible: it drapes rather than standing on its own, which is what allows it to be used in a sleeve without making the garment stiff. Worked on the flesh side, the surface turns velvety, matte and warm to the touch, with the veining and tonal variations proper to each hide. This is not a flaw: it is proof that each piece comes from a different animal and that no two sleeves are exactly alike.
