Ritual Trousers in Italian Linen, Algae Green

The piece

The pleats start at the waist and open downward until the leg reaches the width of a skirt. The 245 gram linen is what holds that volume: enough body for each pleat to stay sharp, and enough weight for the fall to stay vertical and still, even with this much cloth. The algae green moves with the light because the yarn is dyed before it is woven, and the weave lets two tones alternate. The waistband is high and clean, with no belt loops and a side closure. Trousers worn as a piece in themselves.

  Italian-spun linen, one of the finest in the world, with centuries of craft behind it. This 245 g/m² weight is heavy-linen territory: denser and with more body than lightweight shirting linen, built for structured tailoring that needs to hold its shape. It's the coolest, most breathable fiber there is, made for the heat. Its creases aren't a flaw: they're linen's natural signature, proof that it's authentic and alive.

• Deep pleats around the entire waist.
• Very wide leg falling straight from the hip.
• Side closure with metal hooks.
• Side pockets hidden inside a pleat.
• Deep hem that helps the leg hang true.
• This garment exists and is in the atelier: today it measures 96 cm at the waist.
• It can be taken to 94 or 92 cm by adding pleats, with no cloth cut away. The adjustment is done here at no charge.
• It is this garment, not one from a run: the model can be made again, but another will never be the same as this one.
